Abstract

The present study, attempted to investigate the role of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY in development of skilled-based training and to suggest the strategies to overcome barriers to progress in Golestan VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ORGANIZATION. The study was survey and applied one. Statistical population was 152 teachers of Golestan VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ORGANIZATIONs who worked in three departments of services, agriculture and industry in 2012. Using simple random sampling method and Cochran formula, 107 teachers were assigned as sample. Data collected by using a researcher-made questionnaire that its validity was confirmed by consultants and its reliability was 0.87 by using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Data analyzed through one sample t test using SPSS. The results showed that the role of IT in development of skilled-based training in Golestan VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ORGANIZATIONs is beyond expectation and using this technology in such organizations has a significant effects on reaching the goals of VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ORGANIZATIONs, such as, make an equal educational opportunities, update skilled-trainings, expand and improve entrepreneurship and creativity, train required forces for economical and developmental parts, and introduce new skills.
