Abstract

City development current in Iran in recent decades has led to increasing of city deweller population and fore sightings reveals rapid continuation of this growth. At the present time city development speed has gone ahead of capacity and capability of government and municipalities in substructures development and presenting services and employment, as a result informal settlement phenomenon has developed abnormally and rapidly. Statistics show that between 20 to 30 present of metropolitan populations and even many of average cities are settled in SLUM and unorganized habitats that are placed of poorest groups of city population. The major characteristic of many of SLUM areas, are not standard dewells that do not have quality and do not enjoy from basic CITY SERVICES and their social SECURITY because of present of criminal peoples and lack of disciplinary forces is in low level. Khoram abad is one of Iran cities that hike many of cities confront to informal settlement phenomena. Statistics show that 5.95 percent of the whole of KHORAMABAD legal limit is formed of SLUM texture that includes about 114000 people. The present study is a descriptive- analytical kind of city basic services in SLUMs of ALIABAD in KHORAMABAD, and then social SECURITY in this limit of city has been investigated and finally research hypothesis by means of Spierman correlation coefficient has been tested. The research findings reveal that 34.1 percent of houses of this area have kitchen and bath, 31/1 percent have allowed relocation water, 9.46 percent have relocation gas and 87/4 percent of these houses are constructed from undesirable and undurable materials, presence of prostitution, addition of the most of people to opium substances and low SECURITY are because of lack of disciplinary forces and presence of criminals in these areas.
