Abstract

Since history takes place in geographical situations, it seems inevitable to study the TRAVELOGUES and geographical texts in order to have a precise and deep understanding of social and political issues; sometimes delicate, accurate and detailed information about social, economical, cultural and even political issues are found in these chronological works that no specific information about them can be found in most of resources. There is no doubt that exact and deep understanding of political and historical issues requires the recognition and knowledge of climate and geographical conditions.This article tries to provide a clear and vivid image of untold HISTORICAL GEOGRAPHY of MAZANDARAN in Qajar’s age, relying on the TRAVELOGUES and geographical texts of foreign authors which have been remained.
