Title

PREDICTED STUDENTS ATTACHMENT STYLES BASED ON PARENTS PARENTING STYLES

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to predict students’ ATTACHMENT STYLES Based on Parents PARENTING STYLES in isfahan city. The research method was descriptive correlation type. The statistical population included all high school female students in Isfahan city and the sample included 302 persons who were chosen by random multiple cluster sampling method. The tools of experimental were included PARENTING STYLES questionnaire of Baumrind and adult attachment questionnaire of Hazan and Shaver. The acquired data of questionnaires were analyzed by using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis and step by step analysis. The results showed that among subscales ATTACHMENT STYLES, there was positive and meaningful relationship among attachment style secure with parenting style authoritative and attachment style ambivalent with parenting style permissive but there was negative and meaningful relationship among attachment style avoidant with parenting style authoritative. The results of regression analysis showed that PARENTING STYLES were convenient predictors for ATTACHMENT STYLES.
