The role of environmental architecture features and attachment to the place of study in predicting students' social adjustment

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of environmental architectural features and attachment to the place of study in Social adjustment of public school students in Ardabil in the academic year 2017-2017. The research method is descriptive-correlational and the research sample consists of 285 secondary school students in Ardabil (147 boys, 138 girls) who were selected using relative stratified random sampling method and attached to the Bell Social adjustment Questionnaire (1961). Responded to Saffarinia location (2011) and a researcher-made questionnaire on architectural features of the environment. Research data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the components of attachment to the place and the architectural features of the environment with the adaptation of students (p <0. 01). The results of regression showed that environmental attractiveness, emotional behavioral attachment and psychological security play the most important role in predicting students 'Social adjustment, respectively, as they explain 16% of the variance of students' Social adjustment; In other words, with increasing the level of attention to the architectural features of the environment and attachment to the place in schools, Social adjustment in students also increases.
