Abstract

The purpose of the current study was to investigate the relationship between FORGIVENESS and MARRIAGE SATISFACTION of Kermanshahi couples. The statistical population included all Kermanshahi couples with maximum 5 years of common life. The samples subsumed 200 subjects (100 of each gender) that were selected by incidental sampling. The study was a correlation type. The implemented instruments included ENRICH MARRIAGE SATISFACTION Questionnaire and Family FORGIVENESS Scale (FFS). For analyzing the data, the Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis were applied. The research findings indicated that there were significant relationships between FORGIVENESS and it's subscales with MARRIAGE SATISFACTION. FORGIVENESS was considered as a potential positive factor to maintain couples psychological and mental health.
