Abstract

Due to the significance of the beauty and the body, especially in contemporary society, the aim of this study was to investigate various aspects of CULTURAL CAPITAL and BODY MANAGEMENT of the WOMEN in Kermanshah. The population of the study was the WOMEN of 15 to 29 years of age in Kermanshah. 320 WOMEN were selected as the sample. The current research implemented field survey techniques and researcher`s initiated questionnaire to study CULTURAL CAPITAL and the BODY MANAGEMENT. In order to answer the main question of the study the overall relationship and different aspects of CULTURAL CAPITAL ( (behavioral manifestation ,the realized CULTURAL CAPITAL and the internalized knowledge), economic status, age and marital status as independent variables and the BODY MANAGEMENT among WOMEN as the dependent variable were examined and analyzed. Using Pearson correlation and multiple regressions the results showed that all the independent variables except the age had direct significant positive relationship with the dependent variable.
