Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate SELF-EFFICACY, SOCIAL SUPPORT, and QUALITY OF LIFE in patients with TYPE II DIABETES. 160 adults were selected from clients to the Iranian Diabetes Society. After sampling, the participants received the required information about the research. Questionnaires were sent to those who were willing to participate in the research. Participants completed General SELF-EFFICACY Scale, Perceived SOCIAL SUPPORT, and D-39. Results revealed negative correlations between SELF-EFFICACY, SOCIAL SUPPORT and QUALITY OF LIFE. Results of stepwise regression analysis showed that SELF-EFFICACY and SOCIAL SUPPORT could explain 14% of variance of QUALITY OF LIFE in type II diabetics. The results can provide empirical support for planning to promote QUALITY OF LIFE and adjustment in patients and devising psychological interventions.
