Abstract

Introduction: Once efficient, competent, and experienced managers are present on top levels of organizations, organizations success in reaching their goals will be guaranteed.Towards this, using 360-degree feedback model for evaluating managers’ competency brings individuals’ understanding from their abilities and competencies closer to reality and clarifies their strengths and weaknesses. Methods: A survey questionnaire was used for conducting such a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The questionnaire was distributed among HOSPITAL middle and top manager.Descriptive and analytical methods were used for data analysis using SPSS software. Results: Results indicated that in head’s point of view, managers had the highest and the lowest ability in team-based work and in human resource management, respectively. From the mangers’ perspective, they had the highest and lowest ability in team-based work and in control aspect, respectively. Furthermore, in counterparts’ view, mangers received the best and worst score in leadership and control aspects, respectively. In addition, like previous group, subordinates thought the same thing about mangers’ abilities.ANOVA test revealed that there exists a significant difference between “managers selfEVALUATION” with “EVALUATIONs done by heads, subordinates, and counterparts” in all aspects except human resource management at 95% interval confidence. Conclusion: As indicated in the results, managers of studied HOSPITALs had the lowest ability in control aspect. Since “control” is an important aspect for HOSPITAL processes, therefore, comprehensive planning is needed in order to teach this ability to mangers.
