DOPING THE NANOCOMPOSITES OF MWCNT-TIO2 WITH ZNS NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR CHARACTERIZATION BY MICRO RAMAN LASER SCATTERING SPECTROSCOPY

Abstract

 In the present article the synthesis of nanocomposite multiwall carbon nanotubes, MWCNTs and titania, TiO2, MWCNT/TiO2, doped by ZnS NANOPARTICLES by sol-ge preprocess technique has been reported. The prepared samples were investigated by XRD diffractometry, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, EDX, dispersive back-scattering micro-Raman laser spectroscopy and SEM imaging. The recorded experimental results show that the MWCNT/TiO2/ZnS NANOCOMPOSITES, as expected, exhibit a mixture of MWCNT, anatase TiO2 and ZnS phases. Multiwall carbon nanotubes serve as a template to support anatase TiO2 NANOPARTICLES which are decorated with ZnS nanoparticels. The presence of ZnS in MWCNT-TiO2 prepared by mentioned method using the photo catalytic activity of MWCNT-TiO2/ZnS increased by increasing ZnS content.
