A THEORETICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF PRELIMINARY PARAMETERS OF THE PF DEVICE, DENA, ON PINCH TIME AND THE DISCHARGE CURRENT

Abstract

 This is the first time that the detailed calculation of the ML model is presented in a paper. After model description, the results of a theoretical investigation about the effect of the discharge voltage, kind of gas and gas pressure, on the PINCH time and the discharge current is presented. The results show both the behavior and the extent of these effects. Generally it can be concluded that pressure increment leads to current and PINCH time increment. Voltage increment leads to current increment but PINCH time decrement, and using heavier gas leads to increment of current and the PINCH time.
