Abstract

Vayeh, defined as wish, want, and desire in dictionaries, is in fact the changed mythical belief of وایو, وای, وات, اندروای, وای وه. Through history, this myth has survived in the minds and language of Iranians. Vayeh was in distant past imagined to be a tall young man who satisfied unmarried girls' desire of having a husband.
