Abstract

In a survey conducted on 37 EEL (19 female and 18 .9 male) taken from PARISHAN LAKE (Kazeroon, Iran), L infestation of 37.8% with the nematode ANGUILLICOLA CRASSUS in swim bladder was observed. Female and male EELs showed 41 and 34.6% infestation respectively. Swim bladder wall was thickened in infested fish. In this paper the importance of the nematode A. crassus in EELs is discussed.
