Abstract

Introduction: by increasing urbanity in Iran and increasing urban areas, trend of urban development is unstable. This article has been studied the problems and potential in Boroujerd and extracting the purposes of planning, implementation strategies and policies for efficient use of space, then has been presented facilities that they are proportional with economic - Social, cultural conditions of Boroujerd.Method: the kind of this research is "Expanded – Applied" and the research method is "descriptive – analytical". Data collection method is "Survey - the library", AIDA TECHNIQUES has been used in research, the space of this research is BOROUJERD CITY and the community of this research is citizens and urban planners.Findings: According to findings of study the cause of uncontrolled expansion of Boroujerd are, planning policies in development plans and need of housing supply as human factors, geographic space with rugged topography as natural reasons. In addition, weakness of urban management and weakness of urban infrastructure are most important problems of this city. Researcher according to environmental – economic - social and cultural conditions of citizens, have been proposed infill development by providing operational projects.Results: Western cities in the country due to locating in topographical conditions have been faced with this problem (sprawl growth). This problem In terms of physical led to increased costs on infrastructure, on the other hands it will be the Destruction of agricultural lands and urban gardens. This study has been conducted by presenting operational strategies development in BOROUJERD CITY.
