Abstract

In modern competitive world, the managers try to change their organizations to competitive ones by providing the ability of on time delivery of qualified products. Therefore, MAINTENANCE as a system will has key role in decreasing costs, decreasing time of EQUIPMENTS' depreciation, improving quality, increasing productivity, providing capability of EQUIPMENTS' reliance, and achieving organizational qualitative and quantitative goals.It has been tried to recognize general scopes of modern MAINTENANCE of POLICE EQUIPMENTS by focusing on the question of "what are modern MAINTENANCE TECHNIQUES of POLICE EQUIPMENTS?" research method was review and data collecting method was library review. The results indicate seven modern MAINTENANCE TECHNIQUES that are: Preventive MAINTENANCE by the purpose of decreasing MAINTENANCE unplanned activities; Total Productive MAINTENANCE by purpose of improving effectiveness and increasing machineries and EQUIPMENTS output; Reliability Centered MAINTENANCE by purpose of improving preventive MAINTENANCE capabilities; Condition Based MAINTENANCE by purpose of decreasing high costs of preventive MAINTENANCE; Predictive MAINTENANCE by purpose of estimating machinery's decline time and performing MAINTENANCE measures before impairment; Lean MAINTENANCE with purpose of employing lean rules in MAINTENANCE area in order to achieve interest including reliability, operability, quality, and profitability; and Agile MAINTENANCE by purpose of quickening MAINTENANCE reply to needs of different departments of organization.
