Title

THE NUTRITIVE VALUE OF LOW QUALITY DATE IN NUTRITION GOAT

Pages

  82-87

Abstract

LOW QUALITY DATE (Phoenix dactilifera) produce and in large amount as a feedstuff of great importance the animal feeding in south regions country, Therefore, determination of NUTRITIVE VALUE are important in this study, 24 samples (8 sample of each localities)collected from different regions and analyzed to determine their chemical composition. Mean result chemical analysis LOW QUALITY DATE showed that dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), crude fibre (CF), acid detergent fibre (ADF) , nitrogen free extract (NEE), calcium, phosphorus and gross energy in three localities date 86.05, 3.48,.84,9.43,26.58,83.05,.16,.077 percent and 4131 Cal/g DM digestible energy (DE), respectively. Twelve mature weathers, (36 months old and 36.13 ± 0.70 kg BW) use in completely randomized design for determining the apparent digestibility and NUTRITIVE VALUE LOW QUALITY DATE the digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, CP, CF, ADF, NFE and GE were 62.41,66.04,22.72,28.96,23.03,82.74 percent and 2.4 Mcal/kg DM DE measurement, respectively .Were no significant difference between the digestibility coefficients DM, OM, CF, NDF and DE of different regions. Palatability LOW QUALITY DATE is high and no significantly showed in the voluntary intake between regions three (p>%1).
