The sociological explanation of trust in the police as a lifeguard

Abstract

 Background and Purpose: Trust is an important component of Social Capital and a vital tool in police performance in securing social (moral, financial, psychological, and moral) honor. Police cannot succeed in fulfilling organizational goals and missions without relying on citizens’ trust. The level of police success in safeguarding people’ s moral and social values depends on their level of social trust in the organization. Accordingly, the current research using the cm2 method seeks to answer the question of what variables affect police trust and to what extent the variables in the causal model explain police trust. Method: The method of this study is meta-analysis (cm2). Meta-analysis is a quantitative method in survey studies to achieve a certain effect size through the Cohen test. The statistical population of the study included 37 documents that 23 samples were selected after validity and reliability assessment. The period was between 1379 to 1397. Results: The analytical findings of the study indicate that trust in police as the main dependent variable influenced by cultural capital (effect size = 0. 352), social efficiency (effect size = 0. 346), police reputation (effect size = 0. 375), attitudinal factors (Effect = 0. 306), political factors (effect size = 0. 185), normative factors (effect size = 0. 382), Social Capital (effect size = 0. 300), behavioral factors (effect size = 0. 388), and psychological factors (effect size = 0. 239. In sum, the variables were Effect size= 0. 373, Z= 14. 808 and sig= 0. 000 explain the Trust to Police.
