Abstract

One of the issues in biology, theology and morality has been discussed by islamic philosophers is the issue of EGO. This issue has been noticed in islamic narrations and knowing that is one of the best and useful knowledge and the source of knowing God.The importance of this issue made philosophers and speakers had discussions and arguments to prove the existance of EGO and its quality. One of the islamic philosophers who discussed this issue in his books is Abou Hamed Mohammad Ibn Mohammad Ghazli. GHAZALI, in some of his books, as a philosopher tries to prove EGO and its philosophy and beyond that he gets help from jurisprudence, but in his book, Tohafatal Falasafa, he deals with unability of philosophers in approving the philosophy of EGO and concludes that their logical reasons are not enough. He mentions this issue as a clash between natural sciences with religious theachings. This essay will study GHAZALI' s point of view.
