Abstract

Purpose: The present study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on MARITAL SATISFACTION in COUPLES CONFLICT. Method: The present study was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest with the control group. The sample consisted of 24 (12 couples) COUPLES CONFLICT who referred to counseling centers in Mashhad 9th district, 12 of them in the experimental group and 12 in the control group. The members of the experimental group received 8 DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY sessions, but there was no specific intervention for the control group members. Before and after the intervention, the Enrich MARITAL SATISFACTION questionnaire was completed by the sample group. Findings: The results of covariance analysis indicated that in the post-test MARITAL SATISFACTION in the experimental group was significantly increased, compared with the control group subjects. Findings of the research confirm that it is important that DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY improves the MARITAL SATISFACTION in COUPLES CONFLICT.
