Abstract

The aim of the present research was to study the relationship between MOTHERS’ EMOTIONAL MATURITY and their primary school children’s behavioral disorder. The research type was correlational. The studistical population consisted of all the boy and girl students of the primary schools in Tabriz in the academic year 2010-2011, from among whom 1032 were selected by using cluster sampling. Mothers first responded to CSI-4 scales and then responded to EMS. In order to analyze the data, Pearson Correlation Test and Chi – square Test were used. Pearson Correlation Test showed that there is a significant correlation between MOTHERS’ EMOTIONAL MATURITY and their children’s behavioral disorder (r=0.434, p<0.01).There is also a significant correlation between all the components of the MOTHERS’ EMOTIONAL MATURITY and the behavioral disorders of their children.
