Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between ATTACHMENT STYLES and HAPPINESS with MARITAL SATISFACTION among married practitioners. The statistical population includes all the married employees of Tehran khatamolanbia Hospital in 2010 that had at least one child.Based on sampling rules, 257 persons were chosen as the sample. After the failed questionnaires were discarded, 244 sheets were analyzed. In order to collect data, Collins and Read’s questionnaire of adult attachment, Oxford questionnaire of HAPPINESS, and Enrich’s questionnaire of MARITAL SATISFACTION were used. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, (abundance ratio, percentage, average and chart) and to test the research questions, inferential statistics (multivariable regression) are used. The results indicated that: the Parameters of ATTACHMENT STYLES and HAPPINESS play the major role in MARITAL SATISFACTION. There is a deep close relationship between attachment style and HAPPINESS. MARITAL SATISFACTION is predictable by attachment style score. The more MARITAL SATISFACTION people have the more content they are.People who have secure attachment feeling are happier than those who have insecure attachment feeling. Secure attachment style is strongly mingled with high MARITAL SATISFACTION while insecure attachment style leads to low MARITAL SATISFACTION.Among all factors, creation and self-reliance carry great weight in MARITAL SATISFACTION.
