Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the type and amount of AGGRESSION among male teens who are exposed to many or a few VIOLENT MOVIES. The method used in the research is non-experimental, and it is of causal-comparative type. The statistical population includes all the third grade high school students in Meshkinshahr, out of Which a sample of 300 students was chosen by multi-stage random sampling. The subjects answered two questionnaires-the researcher-made questionnaire on watching VIOLENT MOVIES, and the Bus and Pry AGGRESSION questionnaire. The results of independent T-test showed that there is a meaningful difference between the two groups of the teens watching a few VIOLENT MOVIES and many violent films regarding their mean total AGGRESSION. In other words, of the four types of AGGRESSION, only verbal AGGRESSION showed no significant difference between the two groups, and the other three types of AGGRESSION indicated statistically significant difference.
