Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the relationship between HEXACO PERSONALITY DIMENSIONS and TYPE C PERSONALITY. The statistical population included all the students of Islamic Azad University of Tabriz, and 242 undergraduate students were selected out of them by one-stage cluster sampling. Then the participants filled HEXACO-PI (Ashton & Lee, 2001) and type C questionnaires (Raha & Solomon, 1997). This study is a corelational one, and the data were analyzed by Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression. SPSS17 software was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that there were significantly negative correlations between Extroversion and Openness to experience dimensions with type C (p<0.01). Also, among HEXACO PERSONALITY DIMENSIONS, Emotionality and Extroversion dimensions could predict type C.
