Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of STRUCTURAL FAMILY THERAPY on WOMEN’s MARITAL SATISFACTION level. The statistical population included all WOMEN with marital dissatisfaction difficulty that referred to Razi Counseling Center of Varamin Township. From among them, 40 WOMEN were selected by available sampling method and were randomly assigned to two equal groups including experimental and control groups. This study used quasi-experimental method by pre-test and post-test with the control group. The experimental group received ten sessions of 70- minute STRUCTURAL FAMILY THERAPY. The control group was left untreated. The instrument of this research was MARITAL SATISFACTION questionnaire of ENRICH. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and independent T-Test. The findings showed that STRUCTURAL FAMILY THERAPY has an effect on the MARITAL SATISFACTION level of WOMEN. The results are due to the importance of intervention by STRUCTURAL FAMILY THERAPY in increasing WOMEN’s MARITAL SATISFACTION.
