Abstract

One of the current problems in the workplace is absence of appropriate women in MANAGEMENT positions regarding their competency due to their higher education and experience. Several factors could have a role in creating this problem. Based on these grounds, this research aimed to recognize the women's promotion barriers to taking MANAGEMENT positions. For this purpose, eight hypotheses have been proposed. The research method is descriptive and the statistical population consists of all women employees at the Islamic Azad University of Tabriz. In this article, a standard questionnaire has been used for collecting data. The Statistical tests of Kolmogorov-Smirnov and t-test have been used for analyzing data. The results showed that GENDER STEREOTYPE, GENDER DISCRIMINATION, conflict between work and family, conflict between culture and family, non-support of the organization's leader, non-support of the family, relations in work and GLASS CEILING are considered as the BARRIERS OF WOMEN'S PROMOTION to managerial positions.
