Abstract

Iran has been always the land of different races, and ethnic groups . All of these tribes and races which has different language, religion and subcultures, have co-lived together in the very land. The NATIONAL CONVERGENCE and the social cohesion are the first and the main issues of the concern and the priority of political community of Iran. Media as a social organization has a mutual relationship with the society. At one hand, it is influenced by the existing trends of the society and on the other hand it has influence on the changes of the society. Media, as a melting pot, can potentially mix the ethnic groups and the religious minorities together and act creatively and finely in social crisis.This paper is adapted a survey aimed study the role and the functions of the Zoroastrian PRESS as one of the main Iranian religious minority’s media in NATIONAL CONVERGENCE. The survey done by Delfi method (A combination of open interview and questioner). Statistical community of the survey in the open interview contains 15 national scholars and PRESS experts and in the questioner are as 30 persons of Zoroastrian journalists, as whole counting.The results of the survey show that: The activity of the Zoroastrian PRESS has been toward the NATIONAL CONVERGENCE. These Zoroastrian PRESS are somehow conservatives and are not strong and professional enough in their PRESS analysis and commentaries. The Zoroastrian PRESS could not recognize their audiences and to be aware of their requirements. Although the Zoroastrian PRESS relatively benefits expert journalists, they have been faced the scattered speeches, non-coherence and lack of professional standards during the history.
