Abstract

The major purpose of the present research is to study the educational role of national media in Correction of Water Consumption Pattern among Tehran Citizens. The research methodology of this research is geodesic method and the measurement tool was questionnaire. After filling all the questionnaires, descriptive and conceptive tables were achieved and analyzed using SPSS software. Statistical society of this research included Tehran citizens. Sampling method is multi-stage cluster method. The results indicated that the majority of the respondents are not watching TELEVISION and educational and advertising notices with respect to optimized water consumption during the day and believe that educational programs of the national media with respect to water consumption which are on air at the present are not in conform with the realities of the society and had not been that successful and effective but from their viewpoint national media can have a significant role in encouraging people to correct water consumption pattern and with education of correct water consumption by the experts we can propagate the correct culture along the society because if we use mass medical tools especially radio and TELEVISION appropriately and by using behavioural and social experts and specialists views it is possible to have a significant effect in correction of the viewpoints and creating encouragement for optimized consumption behaviour. Also most of the respondents believe that using animation and image attractions in educational and advertising notices with respect to optimized water consumption has also had a significant role in attracting them and has the most effect on them and fro their viewpoint repetitive educational and advertising notices related to optimized water consumption has had a significant role in attracting them and most of them has applied these educations after watching educational programs with respect to correcting water consumption pattern. Respondents believe that using famous individuals especially actors and athletes in educational programs with respect to correcting water consumption pattern has a significant role in correcting the consumption pattern.
