Abstract

One of the basic ways to prevent and control floods is identification of risk areas within the watershed and prevention of flooding should be considered in sub-basin. from this point of view Jamash River Basin due to devastating floods, it has a particular importance. This paper investigated watershed modeling using HEC-GeoHMS software and watershed hydrologic simulation was performed the HEC-HMS model. It has been used the statistics of 4observed rainfall and their simultaneously flood to calibrate and validate the model with curve number parameter. The results showed that the model can provide acceptable results in peak discharge prediction and time related to watershed outlet located. In this study, In this study, using the sequential removal of basins to two rainfall events, for example, In this study, all sub-basins of the flood hydrograph output was determined and prioritized accordingly. The results show that the rate of participation in the flood basin outlet is not associated with the area and Sub basins necessarily a larger surface area and higher peak flows will have no more effect on the flood basin outlet. But the interaction of factors such as location 22of sub basins and routing of the main river channel and the role of morphometric parameters can also be important.
