Abstract

The present paper, along with the determination of SATELLITE effect on THE YOUTH CULTURAL IDENTITY, first explains the concept of identity and its formation process and then deals with the sense of cultural identity and contemporary sociologists’ points of view in this respect. The following parts of this paper devoted to the description of the SATELLITE and its types, the role of the SATELLITE for the formation of THE YOUTH CULTURAL IDENTITY and finally mentioned that based on the results of an opinion poll concerning the subject from members of Iran public relations association, it was concluded that the SATELLITE has eliminated all limitations of internet and world medias by the elimination of the geographical restrictions and provided a civil contribution of each person in farthest world’s points so it is a great evolution. The results of this research indicates that there is a relationship between using SATELLITE and THE YOUTH CULTURAL IDENTITY, but this study should not caused avoidance of using SATELLITE, because nowadays the SATELLITE observing is a common tool in the whole world.
