Title

STUDING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WATCHING THE TELEVISION AND VIOLENCE IN CHILDREN

Abstract

 This thesis aims to examine the relationship between watching the television and violence in CHILDREN from the perspective of clinical advisor and school mentors. In this study, two types of theories cover the theoretical part of the study; psychology theories and communication theories, Q method is used in this thesis research and data is collected through a questionnaire. The sample size is 50 people. Order to evaluate study variables, 48 statements were designed and were distributed among the respondents. The collected data are processed through SPSS and Quannel software. Findings were adjusted based on one sample t-test. The main results of this study are as follows:Clinical advisors more than school mentors believe that, role of TELEVISION VIOLENCE is widespread, strong and direct.Clinical advisors unlike the school mentors believe the education of CHILDREN’s family isn’t important in measure of impressiveness of TV violence.Clinical advisors and school mentors both agree that CHILDREN who live in strained families more than the other CHILDREN are affected by violent television.
