Abstract

The civilization of Iranian culture has a deep, gentle and very different definition from what is today known as the communication. From Spirituality and writings of the divine to the literature and especially poetry the phenomenon of communication always has been considered Iranians.The following text intends to represent the opinions and views about communication from Rumi as one of the most prominent figures of Iranian literature, philosophy and mysticism of Muslim world.And for this purpose, one of his most valuable works "Mathnavi" has been analyzed to study the communication concepts of this work and also with theoretical communicating between what we call Communication knowledge today and what had been considered in ancient Iranian culture about communicating, all for stepping toward to localizing this knowledge.the method of our research was qualitative and using the hermeneutics which is one of the best approaches for evaluation and study of literary works of poets.Rumi has classified all forms of communication in four species:1- Self Communication2- Communication with God3- Communication with Cosmos (the Universe)4- Communication with other people.He based the self analysis as the main subject of all kind of communications and also all kind of human knowledge and believes that achieving all goals would not happen without self analysis.
