Abstract

The education in school is one of the important basic training in every society. The textbooks in every countries including Iran are the most commonly used educational media. This paper tries to investigate two concepts including "Endeavor" and "Labor" which has been used in the books of the elementary and guidance schools in Iran and the method which has been utilized is content analysis. The analysis unit in this article is the sentences. The results have been shown that the "Benevolence and aid" variable as well as "effort" and its subsidiaries are the parts of the category of "Endeavor" and "Labor" then these mentioned concepts have been used in the textbooks more than other social and moral values. Although in the Persian literature books the frequency of mentioned moral values are more than other textbooks.
