Abstract

Identifying TOURISM ZONEs has always been emphasized because better and more services can be provided for tourists more easily by reinforcing these zones as the main cores of tourism. Therefore, for the present study some infrastructures that are particularly related to and paly important roles in tourism are considered. Thus the present study aims to determine the tourism levels and poles by combining two TOPSIS and AHP models and obtaining data from the numbers and kinds of related infrastructures. To achieve the aims, Mazandaran cities have been selected as samples because of their tourism importance. The research method is descriptive–analytic and statistical by emphasizing on systemic approach. Based on the measures used for determining the levels of cities, results show that Ramsar has gained the highest points as a tourism pole.
