Abstract

Tourism is created in a model of specific spatial patterns. One of these patterns is NOMADIC TOURISM. The population of industrial cities, urban environmental pollutions such as noise and air pollution, and also the need for relaxation and rest has caused man to take refuge in the nature or enjoy the ancient and art works and relax. On the other hand, in order to develop sustainable life, the nomads have adopted other activities such as livestock and agriculture. The development of NOMADIC TOURISM is an opportunity to increase the nomads’ income rate, employment, prevention from their migration, improving the quality of their life, and better distribution of services and welfare facilities in nomadic areas. The BAKHTIARI TRIBE territory, because of having the natural attractions and social, cultural and environmental resources and potentials, possesses a great opportunity in development of NOMADIC TOURISM in Iran. The present article is a study in strategies collection of NOMADIC TOURISM development using SWOT. Through the use of this technique the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats have all been collected and summurized in the form of tables. Finally, about 15 strategies have been presented for NOMADIC TOURISM development at four levels of aggressive, adaptive, occasional and defensive strategies. Through the cited strategies, the findings revealed that in the production of NOMADIC TOURISM comprehensive plans should be focused on recognition of natural and geomorphological background in Zagros region. Furthermore, the cession of tourism management to BAKHTIARI TRIBE will probably affect the strengthening of tribal economical foundations and increasing the environmental inspection in the area under study.
