Materials and Methods: The present study was a quasi-experimental design with pre and post design, in which 32 Nursing students of Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 1394 who were enrolled in the study were randomly assigned to two groups of test and control. The 6-week training course for the experimental group was performed based on the clinical monitoring process and for the control group according to the conventional method. The Clinical skills assessment checklist was used to collect the data. Results: Clinical skills of students in the test group was significantly higher than students in the control group in terms of: (1) recognition and administration of medication; (2) education to patients and their companions; (3) team working; (4) considering the safety issues; (5) prevention of infection; and (6) use of the nursing process (p<0. 001). Conclusion: Applying supervision in Clinical education compared to conventional methods leads to further enhancement in Clinical skills of Nursing students. Therefore, educational officials of nursing would benefit from taking this method in nursing education, particularly in “ clinical courses” .
