Abstract

Today, cities are extended & management information about cities increases too. Using geographic information system (GIS) in city management is very important. This project was down in several stages: Introduction form completed for free time centers & the age of young people identified, Organs in relation with younger’s recognized, Based maps (digital & analog) produced, Square studying & truth of information investigated, Based maps in computer system created, Location of centers on geographic maps registered, Information bank produced per map. In result, located information & the names of free time centers inserted on maps. This information produced by 1:2000 resolution & 43 sheet maps in A0 sheet paper with 450 spend free time centers. Described information includes three fields with 1350 boxes & this title: location name, kind of activity & location address. Results was shown that in some regions, such as 2000 area or Allahoakbar hill the number & diversity of free time center in relation density of population, are lower than standard & in central area of the city such as around of Bargh circle and around of darai building the density of them is high. Number of these centers is 4-8 times of areas that do not have good facilities. With analysis in diversity of centers this amount will be increase to 11 times. Thus distribution these centers with considering kind of activity in all of areas is not balance. In some areas there are no enough young people to go centers and this shows that this analysis is correct. This free time center information will help to distribute normally in future. It is very important in cultural management & intelligence extended of BANDAR ABBAS CITY. Using from GIS technology for balance distribution of culture centers is advised for other project.
