Abstract

Increasing population growth in urban areas has led to many problems for the citizens and environmental pollution and noise are the most irnportant problems. One of the most effective ways to reduce these problems is to use public transportation. Organization of park and rides and terminals as the responsible organization for management and exploitation of terminals for citizens, can play an important role in this. Respecting citizens' rights and enhancing the quality of services by these organizations will encourage citizens to use the services of these organizations. This article examines legal relationship between citizen and organizations of terminals and park rides in Tehran. Research method is descriptive - analytical, required data was collected through questionnaires and were analyzed using regression test and T test in SPSS software. Case study was west and south terminals of Tehran and findings showed that citizens' respected organization's rights, but the organization didn't respect citizens' rights and the overall, level of public awareness of citizens' about their rights and duties towards organization of terminals and park and rides is normal and there is a positive and meaningful relationship between CITIZENS' AWARENESS and dependent variable of education. The higher the education level is, the higher their knowledge and awareness will be. But there is no relation between age and awareness. Finally some suggestions are given for increasing public awareness about laws and regulations and citizens' rights and duties toward organization of terminals and park rides.
