Title

A STUDY OF THE EXPERIMENTED CURRICULUM OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Abstract

 This study intended to examine the EXPERIMENTED CURRICULUM of undergraduate students of ELEMENTARY EDUCATION in the Islamic Azad University at Torbat-e-Heidarie. The research method was a survey. The population was the faculty members, teachers (n=15) and undergraduate senior B.A. students majoring in ELEMENTARY EDUCATION from the Islamic Azad University at Torbat-e-Heidarie (n=50). The total population was studied. A questionnaire and systematic observation were the data collection instruments in this study. A one-sample t-test and an independent t-test were used for analyzing the data. The results showed that the participant faculty members, teachers and students believed that there was no match between the IMPLEMENTED CURRICULUM and EXPERIMENTED CURRICULUM. In the curriculum implementation, from the students’ point of view, the ‘development approach’ and from the faculty members’ view, the ‘supportive approach’ was considered to be significant. Regarding the consistency of the IMPLEMENTED CURRICULUM and EXPERIMENTED CURRICULUM (concealed, learned and interactive curriculum), there was consensus between teachers and students.
