Abstract

Since more than (60%) of students are not studying in their cities and gradually added to this number, based on this addressing the problems of this kind of students of great importance. The purpose of this study is identifying the problem, helping overcoming them and giving information about them to authorities. In this study qualitative and quantitative methods were used. Statistic population of this research was all female students who live in state-university dormitories in Tehran and they were 16,000 students. Sample size of the study was 313 students that were chosen through proportionate and random method.The results indicate that:1-There is relationship between emotional, mental and health problems and problems in dormitory.2-There is relationship between the quality of access to services, quality of dormitories environment and the problems associated with living in dormitories.3-There is relationship between performance and behavior of dormitory heads and officials and the problems associated with living in dormitories.4-Social and security problems of dormitories are related with living in dormitories.5-There is relationship between satisfaction of dormitory living and roommate relationship and the problems associated with living in dormitories.6-There is relationship between psychological well-being among students and living in the dormitories.7-There is relationship between the lack of student participation in planning and organizing programs and problems of dormitories.8-There is relationship between the policies and regulations of dormitories and the problems associated with living in dormitories.9-One of the mental concerns of non-native students is dormitories and it’s providing.
