Title

THE STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL CAPITAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENTS AMONG TABRIZ ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES

Abstract

 This paper examines the relationship between SOCIAL CAPITAL and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT among Tabriz Azad University employees using survey method. Statistical society of this research consisted all employees of Tabriz Azad University in which statistical sampling was calculated by the use of Kokaran formula including 250 people. For gathering the information, two questionnaires of Allen & Mayors’ ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT and assessing the SOCIAL CAPITAL of the researcher`s self-designed questionnaire were used. Both questionnaires had due validity and their constancies been respectively 0.77 and 0.90. After gathering information for data analysis, Pearson`s Correlational Test and T-Test were used. The results indicated that the ratio of ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT was at average among the employees while the SOCIAL CAPITAL was somewhat high. Among the three dimensions of the ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT, AFFECTIVE COMMITMENT and CONTINUOUS COMMITMENT had the maximum and minimum amount respectively. The results of correlation indicated that there was a meaningful direct relationship among the staff and there was also a meaningful direct relationship among the three dimensions of ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT and social asset. Men`s ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT and SOCIAL CAPITAL were more than women. Also, the results obtained from different variables indicated that 22 percent of variable changes were determined as a criterion by the predetermined variables of the research.
