Abstract

Cet article se propose de faire une ANALYSE critique de la mise en oeuvre de la Linguistique Appliqué en CÔTE D’IVOIRE. En Afrique, malgré l’existence de nombreux instituts de recherche linguistique et un nombre considérable de travaux de description en linguistique africaine et/ou française, les résultats auxquels on s’attendait ne sont pas encore satisfaisants. C’est le cas avec la promotion de la langue française au détriment des langues locales qui sont pourtant suffisamment décrites pour être enseignées et promues. On continue d’assister à la baisse du niveau de français chez les apprenants. On a également l’impression que les recherches en linguistique ne consistent uniquement qu’à décrire. Une recherche scientifique dont les résultats ne servent pas la communauté est une recherche vaine. La recherche en linguistique ivoirienne n’échappe à cette réalité. On assiste à une description linguistique sans application et sans bénéfice véritable pour les différentes communautés qu’elle concerne. Au cours de cette ANALYSE, il sera question, d’abord, de faire l’état des lieux de la mise en oeuvre de la LINGUISTIQUE APPLIQUÉE en CÔTE D’IVOIRE, ensuite de donner ce qui pourrait être les raisons de ce qu’on peut appeler la crise de la LINGUISTIQUE APPLIQUÉE et enfin proposer quelques pistes de solutions pour une mise en oeuvre adéquate des résultats acquis par la description. English: This article aims at making a critical analysis of the implementation of Applied Linguistics in Cote d’Ivoire. In Africa, despite the existence of numerous linguistic research institutes and a considerable amount of work description in African linguistics and / or French, the results that were expected are not yet satisfactory. This is the case with the promotion of French language at the expense of local languages which are already sufficiently described to be taught and promoted. We continue to witness the lowering of French among learners. It was also felt that research in linguistics consists solely of description. Scientific research whose results do not serve the community is a fruitless search. Ivorian Linguistic research does not escape this reality. There is a linguistic description without application and without benefit to the various communities to which it relates. In this analysis, we will first of all be discussing the state of implementation of Applied Linguistics in Cote d’Ivoire, then we will give what could be the reasons for what can be called the crisis of Applied Linguistics and finally propose some solutions for a proper implementation of the results achieved by the description.
