Title

IDENTITY AND ITS IMPACT ON FOREIGN POLICY OF SAUDI ARABIA AGAINST IRAN

Pages

  77-99

Abstract

Saudi Arabia, as an important and influential country in the Middle East, has adopted a hostile and confrontational FOREIGN POLICY against ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN since the Revolution 1979. The main question is about the most important factor in its policy against Iran. The article assumes that SAUDI ARABIA’s IDENTITY-based perceptions and conceptions have led it to this policy and, with a constructivist approach, identifies the IDENTITY as the most important factor in SAUDI ARABIA's FOREIGN POLICY against Iran.
