Abstract

The purpose of this research was investigating the effect of COMMUNICATION SKILLS as a part of life skills on self-esteem. A pretest- posttest with control group EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN was used in this study. The sample consisted of girls( aged 13-15) who lived in boarding welfare centers. The study has been done in three levels of pretest, intervention and posttest. In the training process experimental group were received communicational skills training based on collection of WHO in 10 sessions that took long 2 hours in 10 weeks. In this research self-esteem inventory was used. The result of ANCOV A test showed that training of communicational skills has a significant effect to increase self-esteem of girls (aged 13-15) who lived in boarding welfare centers.
