Abstract

Studied AMPHIBOLITEs are located in South West Chaman Soltan, in central parts of the SANANDAJ-SIRJAN structural zone. Geochemical data of the AMPHIBOLITEs show that their PROTOLITH are tholeiitic basalts with an affinity of enriched MORB (E-MORB) type that have formed in ocean floor setting. The rocks have undergone the alteration by seawater. After metamorphism, these rocks as AMPHIBOLITE have emplaced during the orogenic processes in present tectonic setting.
