Abstract

The modern Republic of Turkey following the quantitative and qualitative reforms aiming to reach a level of development changed some rules in the family field. These changes follow the policies of the United States of America and of the socialist countries of the Soviet Union, so that this process of transformation and development cause the family to face changes such as structure and exposure to changes in the relationship between family and the government. There also some change in the relationship between family members which is the result of legislative and political policies. The above mentioned factors are as the result of fundamental reform in the way of governance in Turkey since Ataturk, which aims to provide a European image of Turkey. Secularism and laicism are its derivatives which have created the starting point of influence in the family. This article tries to investigate the theoretical foundations and mechanisms in the field of FAMILY LAW enforcement in development era in Turkey.
