Abstract

In the last two decades the concept of CULTURAL CAPITAL, with its different forms, is regarded as one of the most interesting cultural concepts of interest to scholars and researchers and at the same time, the ineffectiveness of one-dimensional model of development in the last fifty years, the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT is S considered among issues of interest to governments, nations and international organizations. Because the basic components of CULTURAL CAPITAL such as the embodied capital, institutional capital and objective capital affects u the sustainable urban development with emphasis on CLEAN ENERGY, It is essential to consider it as a priority in i the twenty-year vision of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This study is conducted to answer this question: How to i design and develop a model to assess the effects of CULTURAL CAPITAL on aspects of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT based t on the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT indicators of the Iran National Development Committee with a focus on the development attitude and application. The statistical population includes 192 residents of Tehran in 1st District, j who are selected by cluster sampling. Since this study seeks to measure the direction and type of impact, therefore analysis the structural equation modeling and confirmatory factor analysis is used in LISREL software. The results show that CULTURAL CAPITAL has a positive significant and direct effect on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT variable dimensions. These effects include 88% on the economic dimension, 71% on social and environmental dimension, and ultimately 70% of the political dimension of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. Finally, to achieve the objectives of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, some proposals such as culture of protecting the environment, providing cultural attachment, popular culture and the promotion of responsible citizens are presented.
