Abstract

Citizenship ethics is one of the main components of civil society which provides the developed and developing full participation of all individuals and SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. In this regard, the present research which is a comparative study of two major institutions of socialization in family and in school in the field CITIZENSHIP ETHICS has been investigated. This research has been performed by survey and questionnaire with a sample of 215 high school STUDENTS in Kashan in order to describe and explain the demographic variables, SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS (occupation, income and education), FAMILY FUNCTIONING and SCHOOL FUNCTIONING. In the study ethics citizenship has measured with aspects respect for Law, responsibility, collaboration and learning in both school and family environment. The results indicate that there is no relationship between SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS and ethics citizenship and there is a significant relationship between the FAMILY FUNCTIONING and SCHOOL FUNCTIONING with ethics citizenship; family contribution is more effective in shaping CITIZENSHIP ETHICS. In comparison with averages only the father occupation has a significant relationship with CITIZENSHIP ETHICS and the other components of SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS, has no significant relationship.
