Abstract

IDENTITY levels include individual and social dimensions which entail sexual, familial, citizen, local, national and religious dimensions. Studies show that sometimes these dimensions and levels compatible with each other and sometimes incompatible. In other words, sometimes they are inconsistent with each other and in some communities cause a conflict. The conflict is usually associated with high levels of local and national IDENTITY. On the basis of this study, we try to identify the layers of THE TAT IDENTITY, the relationship between levels of IDENTITY are investigated to understand the layers and levels of IDENTITY. The research method is, data-driven qualitative method "grounded theory", and techniques of observation, and analysis of the concepts, issues and facts in an open coding manner, axial coding and selective coding through qualitative interviews with 24 individual and two group interviews, discover, compare and categorize and ultimately identify the core issues, and a paradigmatic model is also presented. According to the results of research, THE TATs’ thought and perception of themselves is multi-faceted and multi-dimensional and following the general collective IDENTITY and "nationalism", its own ethnic IDENTITY and "locality" is important, which also this particular IDENTITY is dependent on geographical location conditions. So much so that according the results, thought and perception THE TAT in Buin Zahra is more nationalistic and religious and in Takestan, is mainly local.
