Abstract

Objectives: The author of the present article intends to analyze the relationship between faithfulness and social capital among students in Isfahan University.Method: The method of the paper in data collection and analyzing data is survey method. Statistical population of research included 234 university students (girls and boys) in Isfahan University and data collection is through questionnaire. The reliability coefficient of questionnaire was obtained through Cronbach alpha and SPSS software in windows. Social capital- using fokoyama model- is analyzed in four following aspects: INSTITUTIONAL NORMS, SPONTANEOUS STRUCTURED, EXOGENOUS STRUCTURED, NATURAL NORMS. Faithfulness is also divided in ISLAMIC BELIEFS, HOLY RITES AND ETHICS.Results: The results of the survey indicate no significant relationship between EXOGENOUS STRUCTURED variables and faithfulness but there is a direct and significant relationship between the rate of faithfulness and other aspects of social capital (INSTITUTIONAL NORMS and SPONTANEOUS STRUCTURED).Conclusion: The author of the article concludes religious beliefs have a positive impact on social capital and increase the rate of social capital in community.
