Abstract

Stress is the same as mental pressure which is caused in someone as a result of lack of self-recognition and lack of true understanding the environment. The aim of this study is to investigate and reveal the rate of occupation stress and its relationship with BURNOUT in administrative affairs staffs at International Department of Bank Saderat Iran (Tehran). This study relies on Osipow occupation stress model and Meslech occupational BURNOUT model.Using descriptive measurement on applied field, this research aimed at finding out the relationship and the type of relationship between individual components of the two variables i.e occupation stress and occupational BURNOUT as well as the two variables themselves. To this end, Pearson correlation test was applied. Making use of Friedman test, priority was given to the components of both variables. As the research tool questionnaires were used. The validity of the questionnaire verified by the experts and its reliability was evaluated using Cronbach Alpha test.Accordingly, the findings obtained from 140 sample participants who were randomly selected among the administrative affairs officers at International Dept. of Bank Saderat showed that there is a significant relationship between the components of occupation stress and occupational BURNOUT. It was also revealed that coefficients of four components (role range, role duality, role insufficiency and physical environment) are not zero in the regression model and are involved in the development of occupation stress.
